Psychology computer lab
The main computer lab for the department is located in 2320 Lagomarcino Hall, Please note these hours don’t reflect business hours for offices within the building. Buildings and computer labs may be locked on university holidays.

Computer software
The Psychology department utilizes a wide variety of computational equipment and software packages. The department has several software packages that are site licensed for use on only department computers. Below is a list of the generally installed software packages that are being used and is certainly not exhaustive. Personal computers are generally not allowed to install Institutional or site licensed software. Several packages have student versions which are deployed in our public labs and are not meant for research. If you would like full versions installed on an office research computer a full license must be purchased. Laptop checkout
The psychology department has 8 laptops funded by the College of Liberal Arts and Science at Iowa State University to serve the computational needs of the student body in general, but particularly those students associated with the psychology department. The laptops are located in the Psychology computer support office (0347 Lago) and can be reserved for short periods of time. The laptops have the standard lab software on them for classwork (Office, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
IT support
To request help, please submit a ticket by emailing psych-tech@iastate.edu. Alternatively, you may use ServiceNow and assign the ticket to “LAS Psych IT.”
If applicable, please include your device service tag, office locations, time and date available, and a brief description of the isssue.
Walk-ins at Lago 0347 are welcome, and the IT staff will create a ticket for the issue.
