Dr. David Vogel receives a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Congratulations to Dr. Vogel (Co-I) for receiving a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration ($554,000) for a project titled “Garrett Lee Smith Campus Suicide Prevention Grant”.

Project Summary: This project will broaden and enhance Iowa State University’s capacity to address the needs of college students at risk for suicide and substance use disorders.  The project aims to reduce stigma, suicide attempts, and completions through the development of a comprehensive and integrated approach to substance abuse and suicide prevention (i.e., strengthening campus, community, and state-wide partnerships, increased strategic training, and expanded educational programming). This grant is active from 2018 – 2021.
