Social psychology graduate student, Kristen Slapinski, receives the Diversity Research Award from the American Psychology-Law Society.
Congratulations to Kristen Slapinski, social psychology graduate student working with Max Guyll and Stephanie Madon, for receiving a grant from AP-LS ($1,000) to examine why members of socially stigmatized groups are over‑represented among individuals who have been wrongfully convicted. The title of her proposal is “Do stereotypes of minorities decrease the amount of evidence needed to reach a guilty verdict?” Kristen will be recognized for receipt of this award at the AP-LS conference in Portland, March 14-17, 2019.
